Senior IT Auditor

For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior IT Auditor.

Job Description

You have a versatile and independent position as a Senior IT Auditor with room for a lot of personal initiative and exposure. You are a full-fledged sparring partner for IT & Data management, such as the Chief Information Officer and the Chief Information Security Officer.

Connecting your world

As a Senior IT Auditor, you are responsible for the complete and independent execution of IT assurance audits and advisory assignments for the Management Board. How do you achieve results within this? That is up to you. The team relies on your talents, such as the way in which you show courage and trust in your own abilities.

You use your talents to:

• Draft the annual audit plan and regular reports for the CFO, Management Board, and Audit Committee;
• Cover the end-to-end audit process (terms of reference, preparation of work programs, planning, execution, reporting, and filing) in accordance with IPPF standards;
• Monitor the timely follow-up of audit recommendations and advice;
• Participate in the Cyber ​​Security Board or other knowledge groups to gain insight into developments in the organization and to be able to provide advice;
• Support the preparedness for the Quality Assurance Review assessment from the IIA;
• Explain complicated IT matters in a simple way and think along with the IT organization. You are responsible for an important part of the internal communication, in relation to the aforementioned activities;

Furthermore, for this position you ideally have:

• Academic education and postgraduate IT audit education or equivalent (RE, CISA, RO, RA or CIA);
• At least 7 years of relevant IT audit work experience, preferably working as an IT auditor at one of the larger accounting firms or an internal audit department;
• IT knowledge in the field of IT security and general IT management. Preferably, you have already performed audits in the OT space;
• Experience with SaaS offerings (Microsoft, Oracle, etc), VMWare, AMQ, data platforms, and Cisco Network infrastructure services is preferred;
• Demonstrable experience in independently performing complex IT audits and reporting them to senior management;
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• You are able to see the bigger picture. Analytical, problem-solving, able to constructively challenge and negotiate at all levels.
